FP&A Manager - PE-Backed Growth Business

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our clients dynamic finance team at a rapidly growing business backed by a highly successful private equity house. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to make a significant impact in a high-growth environment while gaining direct exposure to PE operations and board-level strategic initiatives.

The Role

As FP&A Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across the group. Working closely with our talented CFO, you will be responsible for enhancing our financial reporting capabilities and building out the FP&A function to support our ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning initiatives
  • Management Reporting: Produce high-quality management accounts and executive dashboards for senior leadership and PE stakeholders
  • Board & PE Interaction: Prepare board packs and present financial insights directly to board members and PE house representatives
  • Team Development: Build and develop the FP&A team, mentoring junior members and establishing best-in-class processes
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver detailed variance analysis, KPI tracking, and commercial insights to drive business performance
  • M&A Support: Assist with due diligence, integration planning, and financial modeling for potential acquisitions
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Group Experience: Proven experience working within a multi-entity group structure
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic business environments (PE/growth business experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Leadership Capability: Demonstrated ability to build and manage teams, with strong mentoring skills
  • Advanced Excel & Systems: Expert-level Excel skills and experience with financial planning systems
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation and communication abilities for board and stakeholder interactions
Desirable Experience
  • Previous exposure to board-level reporting and PE stakeholder management
  • Private equity or investment-backed business experience
  • Experience in businesses undergoing rapid growth or transformation
  • Strong M&A or transaction support experience
  • Knowledge of modern FP&A tools and technologies
