Job Description: FP&A Manager

How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role will provide support to the Global Markets Insurance Division with particular emphasis on planning, management information, data enhancements, and business partnering. You will work directly with the business to provide transparency and insight into their financial results and forecasts, and deliver robust financial plans for the future. You will also be involved with numerous ad hoc tasks and assignments, collaborating with various functions such as Underwriting, Reserving, Operations, and others, to help empower the business to achieve its growth ambitions.

What will you do in this role?

  • Development of a monthly reporting process around our key premium metrics including initiative tracking, new business production, retention, policy in-force counts, pre-bind metrics, and rate
  • Support the planning process, production of templates, analysis, and coordination with business leaders for premium and expense plans
  • Act as a business partner for UW divisions within Global Markets, attending monthly trading meetings, conducting quarterly results reviews, planning walkthroughs, and other ad hoc requests
  • Coordination and development of the monthly reforecasting process of production including key metrics as drivers
  • Prepare and coordinate the monthly and quarterly KPIs in conjunction with the Data and Analytics team
  • Assist with systems development, enhancements, and data quality controls, partnering with Business Technology Solutions/Data and Analytics functions
  • Prepare other reports and ad-hoc analysis as may be deemed necessary from time to time

About You:

What you need to have:
  • An internationally recognized accounting qualification with at least 5 years of progressively responsible insurance accounting, budgeting, and planning experience
  • Experience in all aspects of forecasting and accounting for insurance business involving transactions and systems
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with business partners and underwriters
  • A proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with the ability to respond to changing priorities
  • High proficiency in Excel, working with large data sets using lookup functions, pivot tables, and the ability to articulate findings to the business.
