The role

Works closely with FP&A managers for Property and Operations areas and reports to the Head of FP&A, with overall responsibility for Group financial planning.

What you'll be doing

  1. Support the People Director, COO, and Executive team on head office performance.
  2. Forecast all overhead costs and create consolidated head office forecasts, including recharging/converting to Unite share.
  3. Own the headcount forecast for Head office(s).
  4. Assess the impact of head office change programmes, including Edison and small-scale changes.
  5. Act as the central contact for all cost centres and business partnering at Unite.
  6. Manage corporate cost centres such as HR, IT, Finance, and Directors.
  7. Collaborate closely with the management accounting team.
  8. Manage one business partner, including performance management, conducting 1-1 meetings, identifying development needs, and coaching.

What we're looking for in you

  1. Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience in a commercial environment.
  2. Experience with Oracle EPM preferred.
  3. Excellent communication skills, including inspiring trust, influencing, and conveying technical financial information clearly and convincingly to diverse audiences.
  4. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-change environment, managing multiple demands with accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to develop effective relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Ability to challenge and hold commercial teams accountable to drive performance.
  7. Strong analytical skills.
  8. Empathy and responsiveness to customer needs.
  9. Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to undertake challenging tasks.
