What you’ll do

Finance manager accountable for;

Co-ordinating and managing the financial performance through seamless business partnering with OpCos, to drive actionable insight on the performance of Total Business, under a complex and multi-location matrix environment.

Driving improvements in data quality, process efficiency and leading simplification projects.

  • Provide analysis and commentaries for monthly performance, quarterly results, Leadership events and rolling forecast/budget cycles
  • Deliver Targets Setting process for Vodafone Business (by market and by product) in accordance with strategic roadmap, and including alignment with Local markets, Regional Finance & Group FP&A.
  • Support dedicated local markets in delivering the targets and outperforming the competition by providing insightful decision support and analysis. Involved in the performance review process with early identification of risks (financial and operational) and communication of key issues. Propose and prompt corrective actions, monitor and report on the implementation plan
  • Accountable for building and maintaining strong relationships with opco Business functions and central Market Finance teams, to share knowledge and enhance insight
  • Drive step change improvement in data quality and compliance across Local Market and Group teams relating to Revenue and Margin reporting that builds trust and integrity in financial data
  • Drive simplification and standardization across Total VB planning and performance management process
  • Support Spark Finance transformation programme and External reporting from a market controlling perspective, through knowledge and insight sharing
Who you are
  • Graduate, ACA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA qualified or with considerable depth of experience in Finance or Commercial analysis
  • 5+ years working in a multi-functional and complex matrix environment in a top quartile FTSE 100 company or similar
  • Experience of driving change, implementing complex projects that improve business results
  • Engaging, intellectually curious, challenges existing thinking to initiate and embrace new ways of working. Proven ability to work collaboratively across UK and overseas markets and to see the bigger picture
  • Strong communication skills able to explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and time manage effectively
  • Extensive knowledge of Group and local market processes and systems covering operational, commercial and financial aspects (Desirable)
  • Advanced excel, with extensive experience using Financial systems and spreadsheets.
