Job description

We are seeking a Data Analyst professional to join the collaborative FP&A team within our Group Finance Function.

The FP&A Data Analyst will support the team by delivering insights across the business using Power BI, creating data models, reports, dashboards, and Excel files.

This role involves understanding business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and suggesting improvements. Responsibilities include monitoring data and reporting performance, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Build reports, dashboards, and Excel files to provide insights, primarily using finance data.
  • Support users in discovering insights from financial data and promote best practices.
  • Identify new data sources or points to support decision-making.
  • Propose methods for data interrogation and reporting.
  • Create and maintain accurate data models for FP&A use.
  • Establish and document data and reporting standards, including calculations and visualisation measures.
  • Monitor data quality, working with business units to resolve errors.
  • Review and automate reporting processes to reduce manual tasks.

We operate a hybrid working policy requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Expertise in Power BI solutions
  • Expertise in data modelling
  • Intermediate knowledge of M language
  • Intermediate DAX skills
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Desirable: Advanced SQL skills
