Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Commercial Finance, in this FTC you will help deliver & support the Budget & Forecast Process, provide weekly & monthly Sales & Margin reporting, assess New Product Development & provide outstanding business partnering to support commercial decision-making across the company, providing real value and efficiencies.

Responsibilities include:

* Support of annual budgeting, forecasting and planning process over the course of the financial year, providing in-depth analysis of key channels and business drivers.

* Deliver clear, actionable management information, including the preparation of weekly reports and monthly Board packs, to inform performance improvement.

* Support the Director of Commercial Finance with the five-year planning process.

Buying & Merchandise Support

* Run the weekly and monthly margin reporting process, providing robust analysis and partnering with B&M to identify variances to Budget & last year.

* Support the New Product Development process to assess the ROI of new products

* Support the automation and systemisation of margin reporting

* Support the Buying & Merchandising (B&M) function with ad-hoc analysis

Business Partnering & Support

* Support the Commercial Finance team with month end & ad-hoc tasks, including weekly reporting & monthly profitability analysis

* Provide accurate commercial and financial analysis in order to provide insights that support our growth and strategic plans

Key skills and experience:

* Experience in commercial finance

* ACCA or CIMA qualified or part-qualified

* Experience (ideally) of omnichannel and multi-product retailing, twinned with a love of food, hospitality and customer service

* Experience with stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

* Ability to work across a varied group of stakeholders, including non-financial

* Strategic and creative thinker, with demonstrable people skills, evidenced by strong IQ and EQ.
