Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a commercially minded FP&A professional to establish and develop the company’s FP&A capability in Grimsby. You will report to the CFO and shape the function from the ground up, turning data into actionable insights that drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data to provide insights on profitability, pricing, and efficiency.
• Analyse competitor performance and market trends.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support strategic decisions.
• Support with M&A transactions and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and capex appraisals.
• Support pricing analysis and ERP implementation.

• You will be creating your own FP&A function and will support the business with its plans to grow.
• Offering £55-65k, hybrid working, potential to progress to FP&A Manager and other benefits.

Our client is a growing business in Grimsby, and this is a newly created position that will support with this growth.

Description

This is a newly created position, which will support the business with its growth plans. You will be reporting into the CFO and will be responsible for establishing and developing the business's FP&A capability from the ground up. This would be a fabulous role for a commercial and data minded individual who enjoys turning data into useful insight and seeing their work make an impact upon business growth. This role has the opportunity to progress in the future to that of FP&A Manager, where you would be responsible for leading one other in the FP&A function. As part of your role in creating a FP&A function, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Analysing and interpreting data to produce meaningful insights, which might relate to product profitability, pricing effectiveness, operational efficiency metrics etc...
• Analysing competitor performance and market trends.
• Identifying risks and opportunities.
• Supporting with M&A transactions.
• Business partnering and influencing finance and non-finance senior stakeholders.
• Supporting with budgeting, forecasting and capex appraisals.
• Supporting the Commercial Team with pricing analysis.
• Supporting with ERP implementation.
• Drive improvements in data quality through ongoing data cleansing.
• Supporting with ad hoc projects.

Profile

• Have recent and relevant experience in FP&A - essential
• Have advanced Excel skills - essential
• Have the confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders - essential
• Be a self starter and have the ability to use your initiative - essential
• Be seeking a "hands on" role - essential
• Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) - desirable

Job Offer

• £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent upon experience)
