An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a diligent and commercially-minded FP&A Analyst in the automotive manufacturing sector to join a dedicated Accounting & Finance team based in the West Midlands. Description

The position of FP&A Analyst considers Business and Financial aspects to provide information, analyses, forecasts and recommendation for important business decisions. Responsible for creating digital performance tracking (e.g. dashboards) for the controlling department, via automatization of processes and reports, implementing data analytics and predictive analyses. Responsible for the Controlling function in the UK. Work with an apprentice ensuring all aspects of the Controlling activities are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner. Build and manage strong working relationships with a wider variety of stakeholders including Board Members and Senior Leaders to ensure the ability to make sound judgement to maintain high standards of planning, forecasting and reporting. Advise and support managers, departments and employees regarding all Planning and financial topics ensuring compliance with all UK Tax Law, local Government guidelines and their processes.

  1. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
  2. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring precision and consistency.
  3. Perform variance analysis to identify key business trends and financial risks.
  4. Support the Accounting & Finance team in strategic planning and project work.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives.
  6. Enhance financial models to drive efficiency and improve forecasting accuracy.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
  8. Assist in preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as required.
Profile

A successful FP&A Analyst should have:

  1. A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  2. Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
  3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
  5. Experience in a similar role.
  6. Expertise in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Power BI & understanding data codes.
  7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner.
