Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer goods business to recruit an FP&A Analyst in Tyne & Wear. The role is permanent with a minimum of four days per week in the office, offering broad exposure to budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial analysis.

You will build robust forecasts, manage 13 week cash flow, and provide insightful commentary to influence commercial decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or nearing expected.
• Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and modelling skills.
• Advanced Excel and data interpretation abilities.
• Knowledge of cash flow, treasury and working capital.
• ERP experience; familiarity with D365 beneficial.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts across the business.
• Own the 13 week rolling cash flow forecast with liquidity insights.
• Produce high-quality financial analysis and management reporting.
• Partner with commercial/operational teams to improve forecasting.
• Support treasury activities including cash management and FX.
• Develop financial models and scenario/sensitivity reporting.
• Assist ERP and BI reporting enhancements; drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and processes.
• Support pricing decisions and ad hoc financial projects.

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading consumer goods business on the search for an FP&A Analyst. This is a permanent role based in Tyne & Wear, with a minimum of 4 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling monthly forecasts across the business.
• Own the 13 week rolling cash flow forecast, providing meaningful insight into liquidity and working capital.
• Produce high quality financial analysis, management reporting and performance commentary to support business decisions.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to improve forecasting accuracy and business performance.
• Support treasury activities including cash management, FX transactions and funding reporting.
• Develop financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivity reporting to support strategic initiatives.
• Assist with the ongoing development of ERP and business intelligence reporting capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting and finance processes.
• Support pricing decisions, commercial reviews and ad hoc financial projects.

What We're Looking For:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Previous experience within FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis or someone looking to make their first move from practice.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills.
• Excellent Excel skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Good understanding of cash flow, treasury and working capital management.
• Experience using ERP systems, with exposure to D365 beneficial.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
• Proactive, analytical and commercially minded, with a continuous improvement mindset.
