Job summary

Trinity House Group is seeking a talented FP&A professional in Birmingham to join a newly created function. You will partner with Finance Business Partners and the Corporate Accounting team to provide insightful analysis, forecasting and planning that informs senior leadership decisions.

Expect broad exposure across budgets, forecasting, modelling and project-level financial decisions, with opportunities to grow and demonstrate impact early in the role.

Qualifications

• CIMA or ACCA qualified (or part qualified/finalist) with a strong track record in a similar role
• Solid business partnering and decision support experience, with the ability to translate data into clear insight
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong Excel and IT skills, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly

Responsibilities

• Producing budgets, forecasts and financial reports used by senior stakeholders across the organisation
• Supporting long range modelling, variance analysis and trend analysis to inform strategic decisions
• Partnering with project managers and other stakeholders, providing spend analysis and acting as a trusted finance contact
• Advising on resource allocation, cost optimisation and financial viability of projects and programmes
• Contributing to the year end audit process and supporting continuous improvement of budgeting and forecasting processes

Job description

Our client is a large, complex organisation with a well established Financial Planning & Analysis function sitting within a broader finance team. This is a newly created role, built to give the FP&A team more capacity and a sharper focus on business partnering and analysis.

You'll report into the FP&A Manager and work closely with Finance Business Partners and the Corporate Accounting team, providing insightful financial analysis, forecasting and planning support that feeds directly into senior decision making.

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck producing the same report every month. You'll get real exposure to how a large, complex organisation actually runs, working across budgets, forecasting, financial modelling and project level financial decisions, with your analysis landing directly in front of senior leadership. It's a role designed with room to grow, ideal for someone who wants to build their commercial and business partnering skills quickly and be seen doing it.
