Job summary

Harnham is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a high-performing finance team, blending financial planning and analysis, business performance reporting, and strategic investment support. You will gain exposure to senior stakeholders, board-level reporting, and critical business decisions to shape reporting and analytics across the organisation.

You will deliver monthly financial and operational reporting, validate data, and enhance Excel-based packs while supporting investment performance and growth

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Analysis, or similar analytical finance role.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced functions and data manipulation.
• Experience creating and enhancing reporting packs and management information.
• Ability to translate data into clear commercial insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Delivering monthly financial and operational reporting across the business
• Collecting, validating, cleansing, and consolidating data from multiple sources
• Building and enhancing Excel-based reporting packs and management information
• Producing presentations and board-level reporting for senior stakeholders
• Analyzing profitability, revenue, utilisation, cash flow, and business KPIs
• Supporting investment performance tracking and strategic growth initiatives
• Partnering with stakeholders to gather business commentary and operational insights
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, governance, and data quality
• Supporting the transition towards a more mature data and reporting environment
• Acting as a key link between finance teams and data specialists

This role sits within a collaborative FP&A team working across reporting, investments, and performance analysis.

The Role

As an FP&A Analyst, you will support financial and operational reporting, investment analysis, and performance measurement across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering monthly financial and operational reporting across the business
• Collecting, validating, cleansing, and consolidating data from multiple sources
• Building and enhancing Excel-based reporting packs and management information
• Producing presentations and board-level reporting for senior stakeholders

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this FP&A Analyst role, you should have a strong blend of finance, reporting, and analytical expertise.

• Experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Analysis, Management Accounting, or a similar analytical finance role
• Exceptional Excel skills, including:
• INDEX MATCH
• SUMIFS
• Advanced data manipulation
• Reporting pack creation and enhancement
• Strong experience working with financial and operational KPIs
• Knowledge of revenue, profitability, cash flow, and commercial performance analysis
• Experience working with large, complex, or imperfect datasets
• Power BI experience, including Power Query and data transformation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to translate data into clear commercial insights and recommendations
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Availability within a maximum 6-week notice period
• Experience within professional services, consulting, accountancy, or other KPI-driven environments
• Exposure to data warehouse environments
• Knowledge of DAX
• Experience supporting investment or business performance reporting
