  • Assist in the preparation of long-term forecasts for areas of responsibility working with the Finance Manager to ensure that forecasts align with SSE’s broader strategy.
  • Conduct monthly variance and sensitivity analysis and prepare accurate, insightful reporting for senior leaders.
  • Provide thoughtful financial insight and challenge to ensure forecasts are robust, realistic, and support effective decision making.
  • Partner with finance colleagues and teams across the business to ensure financial plans align with performance goals.
  • Champion continuous improvement to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the financial planning process.
What you will bring
  • A recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • A strong commercial mindset and a genuine interest in the energy sector’s evolving landscape.
  • Confidence in making recommendations and decisions, while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
