Job Description:

Focused Improvement Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment. The jobholder is a member of the Site Leadership Team and will play a key role as a thought partner with the Plant Director, global teams, and have important links with Global Industrial Engineering (IE). The Focused Improvement Manager is essential in developing and delivering the site's strategy through building across the site to identify and eliminate losses.

What Are We Looking For?

  • A degree-level education with exceptional numeracy, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
  • Relevant experience working in a production/Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) environment. Previous experience in line management is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership experience, including direct line management and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Great stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong affinity for data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • This role is based in Kings Lynn and requires on-site presence.

What Will Be Your Key Responsibilities?

  • Lead the MSE program and the FI pillar as its pillar lead, providing coaching and guidance to other MSE pillar leaders and team members. Balance short-term business objectives with long-term strategic goals, while driving VLS initiatives and loss analysis to improve overall performance.
  • Drive Value Leadership, track and manage the pipeline of identified projects, and highlight process inefficiencies and loss sources. Utilize cross-functional teams to eliminate inefficiencies and drive lasting improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance to identify and resolve chronic and sporadic losses, using data analysis to inform decisions. Represent Supply in ATGs related to Innovation & COGS activities and oversee the development and deployment of the Site Masterplan in collaboration with Global IE and Site Leadership. Manage the Site Investment CAB program in coordination with technical and global teams.
  • Manage, develop, and engage Associates within the industrial engineering field, continuous improvement, focused improvement, and PPPI (Process Product Packaging Implementation). Empower teams to build capabilities and drive performance. Extend the use of MSE tools to improve Quality, Safety, and Food Safety, supporting AHC & reliability processes. Drive standard work efforts, collaborating with Finance on the annual Operating Plan process.
  • Train and mentor plant Associates in problem-solving techniques (e.g., EDPS, BDE, Six Sigma where applicable). Ensure cross-functional alignment with Regional/Global MSE teams and compliance with corporate MSE standards. Oversee the successful implementation of new products and processes, ensuring a seamless handover to Operations.
