Jones n Co Cast Metal Designs Ltd. is seeking a versatile Workshop Assistant to bridge our online shop platforms (Etsy and website) with the busy workshop floor. You will help with digital mock-ups, hand-typesetting, assembly, and dispatch, while ensuring quality and timely customer updates.

The role combines front-end customer interactions with hands-on production tasks in a craft workshop in the West Midlands. Previous experience with patterns and precise lettering is a plus.

Jones n Co Cast Metal Designs Ltd are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Workshop Assistant to join their team, helping to smoothly manage both front-end customer experience and back-end sign production. You will act as a key bridge between our online shop platforms (Etsy and website) and the physical workshop floor—assisting customers with digital mock-ups and updates, through to hands-on preparation, letter typesetting, assembly, and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Front-End & Customer Operations
• Manage incoming customer queries across our Etsy store and custom website.
• Create and send digital mock-ups/proofs of custom signs for client approval.
• Provide accurate production and dispatch progress updates to customers.
• Back-End Production & Workshop
• Prepare sign patterns for production.
• Hand-typeset letters onto patterns accurately according to approved designs.
• Securely glue and assemble lettering and components in place with precision.
• Support final quality checks, carefully packing items, and preparing orders for dispatch.

Key Requirements & Skills

• Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating Etsy, website administration dashboards, and basic design/mock-up tools.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for spacing, alignment, and accurate typesetting during assembly.
• Hands-on Craftsmanship: Comfortable working with adhesives, physical patterns, and fine manual assembly tasks.
