Job summary

Waterside School is an exciting new Independent Specialist SEND school for learners aged 9–19 with MLD, PMLD and complex needs. We are appointing Teaching Assistants to join the founding team ASAP to help create an exceptional learning environment where every learner is known, valued and supported to thrive.

Successful candidates will support learning experiences, build strong relationships and help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally in a trauma-informed, learner-centred

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in education or care settings.
• Passion for improving outcomes for learners with additional needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively.
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches or willingness to develop this expertise.
• Flexibility, creativity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and learning activities.
• Adapt learning to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
