Job summary

Investa is recruiting a software engineer to join its founding team and own core platform features from end to end. You will work across the stack, ship features quickly, and level up your technical depth with a small, autonomous group of engineers.

You will contribute to an FCA-regulated trading platform, collaborate directly with founders, and help shape the engineering culture as Investa scales.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong practitioner who ships clean, readable code.
• Proficient in at least one modern language and cloud environments.
• Experience with distributed systems or backend APIs is a plus.
• Curious, first-principles thinker with a startup mindset.

Responsibilities

• Founding Team Ownership: design, build and maintain scalable services end-to-end.
• Build the engineering culture: direct input on collaboration and learning.
• Full-Stack versatility: ship features across the stack in a FCA-regulated platform.
• System design: contribute architectural decisions and ownership of services.
• Technical excellence: uphold code quality, testing and documentation standards.
• System integrity: monitor and improve platform reliability.
• Production support: root-cause real-time production issues.
