Job summary

Catapult is building personalised AI models that understand the complete context of your work across email, calendar, Slack, Notion, and more. The founding senior engineer will tackle challenging algorithms, manage the tech stack, and deliver end-to-end products, collaborating closely with AI engineers.

You’ll work on desktop applications, algorithmic development, and cross-functional projects, with a fast-learning, problem-solving mindset and the opportunity to shape the future of personalised

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on similar projects.
• Strong programming skills in Typescript, Python, and/or Rust/C++.
• Proven ability to solve difficult problems in academic or industrial settings.
• Experience managing engineering workflows and scientific processes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers and database technologies (SQL/no-SQL).
• Ability to self-organise and work independently.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to London (visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Solve tough algorithmic problems and contribute to end-to-end product development.
• Own and manage the entire tech stack for desktop applications (frontend and backend).
• Collaborate with AI engineers and cross-functional team members.
• Identify and tackle technical challenges, pushing beyond comfort zone.
