Job summary

Tact, a London-based AI start-up, is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to own the product and drive a scalable AI platform. You will work directly with the founders and senior stakeholders to implement ambitious ideas and move quickly from concept to delivery.

With pre-seed funding and a clear roadmap, you will have a progression plan toward Head of Engineering. The role offers equity, flexible hybrid working, and generous holiday allowances to attract top talent.

Qualifications

• Modern AI/LLM experience, especially building AI harnesses and agentic systems.
• Product minded with ability to connect tech decisions to business outcomes.
• Strong technical ability across software engineering and systems design.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the engineering roadmap, shaping architecture and delivery.
• Lead hands-on development while collaborating with senior stakeholders to scale the product.

Want to have genuine ownership over an AI product and work directly alongside the business owners?

You'll be hands-on in building rather than maintaining what is already in place.

Plus you won't have to jump through hoops to get sign-offs / implement ideas. You'll be working alongside all the decision makers and senior stakeholders.

The business is a London-based AI start-up and the product has been publicly recognised by big names in the industry.

They have just received over £1million in pre-seed funding that is going into the product.

With a roadmap in place to scale the business/team, this hire will have a progression plan in place to move into a Head of Engineering position.
