Job summary

Frontier Consulting are assisting a top SEN School Group to recruit for an Occupational Therapist to join a brand new state of the art school in Maidstone. This role runs Monday - Friday and term time only with a January 2027 start.

You will help shape a provision where therapy and education work together throughout the day, including classroom-based interventions and collaborative planning with teachers. As a founding Occupational Therapist, you will assess needs, embed programmes in classroom

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current HCPC registration
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' occupational therapy needs and plan appropriate interventions
• Deliver therapy programmes that support participation, independence and access to learning
• Provide therapeutic support within classrooms, working alongside teaching staff
• Advise colleagues on strategies and adaptations to meet individual needs
• Work closely with families, carers and external professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to reporting and reviews
• Help build a collaborative therapeutic approach as a founding Occupational Therapist
