Job summary

Agentic Systems in London is seeking a founding software engineer to help build production-grade AI agents. This is a hands-on role at an early-stage startup, requiring ownership and the ability to learn new technologies.

You will explore backend, AI and geospatial data, building robust software that works in real-world environments. We are not looking for prompt engineers; we want someone who loves solving hard problems, taking ownership, and shaping the engineering culture as the company

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.

We're building AI-powered technology for the climate, combining agentic systems with geospatial data to tackle problems with genuine real-world impact.

We're looking for a high-agency software engineer who wants to get stuck into an early-stage startup, take ownership and learn whatever technology is needed to solve the problem.

This isn't a prompt engineering role. You'll be building production-grade AI agents that can reason, use tools, execute tasks and operate reliably in real-world environments.

What you'll do

• Build and ship agentic AI systems from the ground up
• Work across backend, AI, geospatial data and whatever else the problem requires
• Experiment with new technologies and turn ideas into production software
• Own problems end-to-end, from architecture through to deploymentHelp shape the engineering culture as the company grows
