Job summary

HartleyCo is seeking a founding engineer in London to own the platform from data ingestion to delivering accurate retrieval and answers. You will build the knowledge graph, design robust retrieval agents, and deploy production systems on Google Cloud.

You’ll shape the product as one of the first engineers, work directly with the founders, and receive founding equity as the platform takes shape in a tight, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping retrieval systems or knowledge-graph based components in production.
• Experience with LLM integration and data extraction pipelines is a plus.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to own feature end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end platform from data ingestion to retrieval and answers.
• Build and evolve the knowledge graph and retrieval agents.
• Collaborate with the founding team to shape architecture and roadmap.
• Deploy and monitor production systems in the cloud.
