Phoenix Learning & Care Group is establishing Havencross School in Denton, Tameside. We are seeking a motivated Deputy Headteacher (Secondary) to lead the new provision, shaping KS3/4 curricula and delivering a therapeutic, relationship‑centred approach for pupils.

Reporting to the Headteacher, you will recruit and develop staff, uphold safeguarding, build strong partnerships with families and external professionals, and help open Havencross in 2027 as part of our growing SEND school network.

Qualifikationen

• A degree, Qualified Teacher Status or recognised equivalent, with leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of Key Stages 3 and 4 and curriculum improvement.
• Significant SEND knowledge with Autism, SEMH and complex needs.
• Secure safeguarding leadership and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead abilities.
• An open and ambitious mindset to build something new with pupil-centred improvement.

• Shape the school from the start with the Headteacher and lead the Secondary phase.
• Lead an ambitious Secondary curriculum with KS3/4 pathways.
• Keep safeguarding and wellbeing central in daily decisions.
• Inspire and develop Team Members through recruitment and coaching.
• Build strong partnerships with families, therapists, authorities and colleges.
