Job summary

Higlo is seeking a Founding Engineer (AI-Native) in Edinburgh to help build the AI era’s connected family device. You’ll own end-to-end product features and the underlying infrastructure, from embedded hardware to cloud services, using cutting-edge agents and models.

You will shape architecture, write code across layers, and lead the engineering decisions that speed up agent flows for the team. A passion for AI, hardware-software co-design, and hands-on impact is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping real products and delivering durable work.
• Comfort across multiple layers—embedded, on-device models, OS, app, cloud.
• Meaningful time inside agentic coding tools and understanding their strengths/limits.
• Genuine excitement for AI, vision, hardware-software co-design or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Build product features end-to-end across the Hearth, cloud, and web apps.
• Engage with embedded, on-device models, OS, application, real-time comms and cloud as needed.
• Tackle cameras, vision pipelines, gesture/hand-control, audio chain, LLM in app and real-time comms.
