Referment is partnering with a venture-backed AI startup looking for one exceptional engineer to build the next generation of AI-powered cybersecurity products in London.

You’ll own features from customer problem through to production, collaborating directly with the founders and shaping both product and engineering culture. The role requires deep hands-on engineering across backend, frontend and infrastructure, with ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of engineering depth with hands-on coding.
• Strong Python backend fundamentals with FastAPI/Django/Flask.
• Verifiable OSS or GitHub contributions.
• Ability to own features end-to-end from problem to production.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from customer problem through production.
• Design complex backend architecture and systems.
• Ship React interfaces.
• Build internal developer tools and engineer-facing consoles.
• Improve databases and systems programming.
• Debug production and deploy continuously.
