Foundation Phase Welsh-Medium Teaching Assistant – Cardiff

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Monday to Friday)

Pay: £89.38 per day (paid weekly)

Start Date: September 1st, 2025

Do you have a nurturing nature, a love of early learning, and fluency in Welsh? Teaching Personnel is recruiting a passionate Foundation Phase Teaching Assistant to support children in a Welsh-medium primary school in Cardiff.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming school environment and help shape the development of pupils in Nursery to Year 2, working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning through play, exploration, and creativity.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom routines and lessons – all in Welsh

• Working with small groups and individual pupils to support early literacy, numeracy, and language skills

• Encouraging play-based learning, story time, outdoor play, and expressive arts

• Assisting with snack times, toileting, and wellbeing routines where needed

• Promoting a positive, inclusive environment that supports every child’s development

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

• Fluent in Welsh (spoken and written – essential)

• Warm, friendly, and reliable, with a caring attitude

• Enthusiastic about early years education and learning through play

• Confident working with young children (ages 3–7)

• Committed to full-time hours, Monday to Friday
