Cardiff and Vale Colleges Foundation Learning department delivers courses for young people with Additional Learning Needs and/or Disabilities and those at risk of becoming NEET.
This role involves supporting learner engagement and progress on both Accredited and non-accredited courses. It requires a person-centred and flexible approach, understanding of kindness culture, and trauma-informed practice. The role includes being an emotionally available adult for learners, managing risks, and collaborating with various teams and external agencies to improve attendance, retention, and wellbeing.
Some work from home will be necessary for data management and contacting absent learners.
Applicants should have a degree or relevant experience in providing person-centred support to young people in educational settings. Welsh language skills are desirable.
