Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in the South West is seeking a Foundation Learning Lecturer to join a specialist team supporting learners with SEND and SEMH. You will deliver inclusive, trauma-informed and person-centred teaching designed to build confidence and independence.

You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, tailor sessions to individual needs, support holistic learner development, and work with colleagues to promote successful outcomes in foundation learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching or supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• A person-centred, inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
• The ability to work successfully within a team.

About the Role

A further education provider in the South West is looking for a Foundation Learning Lecturer to join a dynamic team of specialist teachers and professionals within its foundation learning department.

You’ll deliver inclusive, trauma-informed and person-centred teaching that supports the holistic development of learners with SEND and SEMH needs, working alongside colleagues who share that approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning within the foundation learning department.
• Providing inclusive, trauma-informed and person-centred sessions tailored to individual learner needs.
• Supporting the holistic development of learners with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Working collaboratively with specialist teachers and other professionals to support learner success.

What We're Looking For

• Experience of teaching or supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs
• A person-centred, inclusive approach to teaching and learning
• The ability to work successfully within a team

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Experience of working within a foundation learning or similar department
