Salary: £25,374 - £49,937 Pro Rata

Cardiff and Vale College's Foundation Learning department deliver courses for young people with Additional Learning Needs and/or Disabilities and those at risk of becoming NEET. The department grows year on year and our curriculum for 2023/24 includes 31 courses for 400+ potential learners across 6 different sites

All of our courses use a mixture of traditional classroom-based lessons and project-based learning to create a vibrant and engaging curriculum. Our team use their wider skill sets and work history to enhance the curriculum, ensuring that our students are skilled and employable people. We are passionate about teaching and learning and recognise that like our learners, each new staff member has had their own learning journey. For this reason, we pride ourselves on our CPD program focusing on 'what we teach' and 'how we teach it' and offer regular workshops and termly CPD focused on maximising teachers impact in the classroom.

We are looking for a Part-Time Hourly Paid lecturer to join the team. The successful candidate will be able to work across both ILS and accredited curriculum and be responsible for subject planning, delivery and assessment of lessons. We are looking for passionate, committed teaching professionals who can consistently teach excellent, inspirational lessons, ensuring a positive and value-driven experience for Learners.

It would be desirable for applicants to have a degree and a relevant teaching qualification. Welsh language skills would be also be desirable for this post.
