Job summary

Bath College is seeking a Curriculum Manager Foundation Learning to lead the Somer Valley Campus Foundation Learning provision. The post oversees teaching, learning and assessment and drives student progression, working to deliver outstanding standards and ambitious curriculum development.

The role includes a teaching commitment of at least 6 hours per week, a permanent contract, and the leadership of College staff to support growth and recruitment within the curriculum area.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant area required.
• Teaching qualification (L5) or significant equivalent experience expected.
• Management qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Support the College Leadership Group and Head of School in communicating and executing the College’s strategic plan.
• Promote the vision, mission, and values of the College.
• Ensure effective use of resources, including staff deployment and timetabling.
• Maintain high professional standards for students and staff and lead by example.
• Provide leadership within the Foundation Learning team and implement improvement plans in line with College objectives.
• Ensure high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in the curriculum areas.
• Assist the Head of School in mapping external environment and curriculum development.
• Celebrate and reward student and staff successes.
• Collaborate with other managers for consistent leadership and quality.
