Job description

Job Description

To deliver programs of learning in appropriate Foundation Apprenticeship subject areas to groups of students, in accordance with the national Scottish Qualification Agency (SQA) and Skills Development Scotland (SDS), by providing support, guidance, and advice to service users, Council staff, and local companies as part of the wider Foundation Apprenticeship team.

Working with the Foundation Apprenticeship Team in various schools throughout Aberdeenshire, delivering quality education to assigned pupils and contributing within a collegiate ethos to the professional life of the school in relation to pupils, staff, and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the local Negotiation Committee for Teachers and the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Fixed term for a period not exceeding 01/05/2026.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The successful applicant must provide this check.
