Nurture Fostering is a small family-owned Independent Fostering agency based in central Lewisham. We are looking to recruit an experienced Team Manager, to join our agency and support a team of social workers. The role requires that you will work in partnership with the Registered Manager of the agency and look to improve the quality and outcomes of children’s lives.

This is a permanent role, and Nurture will be interviewing during August.

Main Duties:

  • To lead, support and manage a team of social workers and inspire the team to work in a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Safeguarding of all the children in our care
  • Support the Registered Manager in achieving the goals and ambitions of the agency.
  • Consistently seeking ways to improve service delivery
  • Work in partnership with all Stakeholders
  • Attend statutory meetings and support Social Workers to feel empowered in their role
  • Quality Assurance of annual reviews, Form F assessments


  • Requirements of the Role:
  • A social work qualification
  • Previous Team Management or management experience
  • Knowledge of all relevant legislation
  • Social Work England Registration
