Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care Ltd is seeking a Fostering Support Worker for the Leeds, Bradford / York area. You will travel across Doncaster, Bradford, Leeds, York, Hull and Lincolnshire to support foster families and carers, coordinating activities and recording sessions.

You will work as part of a team, promoting the welfare of children and young people, with training provided. A driving licence and flexibility for some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Active listening and communication skills are essential.
• Empathy and patience when supporting children and carers.
• Understanding safeguarding and welfare of children is required.
• A valid driving licence is necessary for travel across regions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate group activities and participate in children’s events.
• Support the team in preparing foster care placements.
• Accurately record visits and one-to-one sessions.
• Promote health and well-being of children and young people.
• Travel across West Yorkshire areas to support families.
• Contribute to recruitment and transport support as needed.
