Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children Supervising Social Worker to join a fostering service on the Isle of Wight. The role involves supervising foster carers, managing safeguarding concerns, and providing emotional and practical support.

Based with an Independent Fostering Agency in Hampshire, you will recruit and assess new foster carers, deliver training before placements, and conduct statutory visits to monitor placements, ensuring high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Social Work England registration required.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Post-qualified experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining communication among foster families, social workers and placement.
• Arranging additional support for children (therapy, learning support).
• Day-to-day assistance with meetings, reports and records; monitor progress and statutory visits.
• Facilitating contact between children and their birth families when appropriate.
• Identifying training needs for foster carers and facilitating training prior to placements.
