Randstad Care in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Fostering Supervising Social Worker / Kinship Care Assessor for a hybrid role in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The post offers a full-time initial 3-month contract with potential extension up to 6-9 months. The role focuses on delivering assessments, supervision, and training to foster and kinship carers, with a strong safeguarding remit.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work degree with active registration in Social Work England.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience within a fostering service setting.
• Proven experience as Supervising Social Worker and completing Form K assessments.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding standards, and fostering regulations.

Responsabilités

• Deliver assessment, supervision, and ongoing support to foster and kinship carers.
• Complete Form K Assessments for kinship carers.
• Deliver training programs for carers to ensure safe, stable placements.
• Apply assessment, analytical, and recording skills aligned with safeguarding responsibilities.
• Promote empathetic understanding of looked-after children and young people.

Key Requirements

• Qualification & Registration: Recognised Social Work degree (or equivalent) with active Social Work England registration.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience within a fostering service setting.
• Core Skills: Proven experience as a Supervising Social Worker and hands-on experience completing Form K assessments.
• Knowledge Base: Sound understanding of relevant legislation, statutory regulations, and the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services (2011).
