Job summary

East Sussex County Council in Eastbourne is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide essential support to foster families and contribute to the welfare of looked-after children.

You will manage a caseload, deliver high-quality supervision and ensure safeguarding, reporting and records are maintained accurately, while collaborating with professionals and contributing to staff development.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with the professional regulatory body; ASYE completed if graduated post 2012.
• Experience of working directly with children and families.
• Knowledge of legal and policy frameworks that informs and mandates social work practice.
• Recognise the impact of trauma and evidence understanding of attachment and child development.
• Able to identify, assess and manage risk, and to manage workload independently.

• Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports
