A leading staffing agency is seeking a Supervising Social Worker for the Children’s Placement Service to supervise and support foster parents while ensuring compliance with Fostering regulations. This role offers a hybrid work-from-home policy with access to office space. Candidates will engage with foster carers and manage caseloads rigorously. A strong knowledge of therapeutic principles and experience in child welfare is essential. Competitive rate of £33.30.

Supervising Social Worker - Children’s Placement Service - Fostering, Support and Development
Rate: £33.30
Being a member and team player of an established Support and Development service.
Having good knowledge and experience working in accordance with Fostering regulations and NMS standards.
Understanding and able to ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated and recorded on LCS.
Communicate and support foster parents with trauma-informed understanding and therapeutic principles.
To supervise foster carers, ensuring all key areas of the role are discussed, recorded, and challenged where necessary.
To carry a caseload of foster parents and complete all tasks in accordance with the role of SSW.
To efficiently record fostering annual reviews and present them to panel when required.
Attend team meetings and work as part of the team supporting others where necessary.
Be part of a duty rota, supporting foster carers, and completing viability assessments when required, twice per month.
We offer a hybrid work-from-home policy with access to office space at the Guildhall building in Shrewsbury.
(Foster parents mainly reside in Shropshire County. Hybrid working approach with more work from home options available.)
