FOSTERING – SOCIAL WORKER
Coleshill, Warwickshire
29.5 Hours Per Week
SCP 27-39.
£29,368.45- £41,850.60 per annum pro rata
Out of Hours Allowance: £200 per week
New Routes is a longstanding small fostering service which is ‘not for profit’ based in Coleshill, Warwickshire with good road links to Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Tamworth.
As a service we are looking to expand into new geographical areas.
The opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, committed and experienced team.
Candidates must be self-motivated, a team player and child focused. You will be required to provide effective and high-quality social work practice and undertake tasks related to recruitment, assessment, support, supervision and training of foster carers in accordance with legislation, guidance and good practice so as to appropriately meet the needs of children and young people and support them to reach their full potential. Given that we are a small service there is scope for creativity and opportunities to undertake direct work with the children and young people. Experience of working therapeutically and adopting trauma informed approaches is also essential to the role.
You must be a qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England. All posts are subject to Enhanced DBS checks, Employment References and Medical Clearance and also subject to a probation period. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
