Job Title: Fostering Recruitment Manager

Salary: £44,756 per annum (increasing to £49,729 in 18 months) + £750 per annum Homeworking Allowance + £4,184 London Weighting (if eligible)

Location: Homebased within reasonable travel distance of East, North and West London, Essex and Hertfordshire

This is an exciting opportunity to join TACT as a Fostering Recruitment Manager as we invest in recruiting new foster families. We believe in a relational, trauma-informed approach to recruitment, combining targeted local marketing and relationship-building with the support of a centralised Recruitment Development Manager dedicated to continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be based locally and be invested in building community engagement and peer to peer support.

Overall Duties of the Fostering Recruitment Manager will include:

  • Managing local recruitment in line with the local recruitment strategy
  • Making decisions on suitability of enquirers to proceed to application.
  • Working proactively to meet and exceed enquiry response times, ensuring all enquiries are progressed efficiently within set timescales.
  • Increasing TACT’s presence in the targeted local area’s by leading on recruitment events
  • Collaborating with local foster carers to support and organise recruitment activities.
  • Management and oversight of new foster carer enquiries, including undertaking Initial Home Visits of prospective foster carers.
  • Leading Skills to Foster training groups and facilitate applicants’ completion of pre-approval L&D to ensure they are well prepared for the fostering role
  • Supervising and managing the Fostering Recruitment Officer and / or Assessing Social Worker/s.
  • Supervising, quality assurance and making complex decisions in relation to assessments to ensure completion within timescales and to the standards required.
  • Writing and producing management and performance information to improve recruitment practices.

The Fostering Recruitment Managerwill be located in the TACT London & The East area and travel across the region will be required. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to face-to-face meetings at least once a month and on other occasions for training and team wellbeing events.

An Enhanced DBS clearanceis required for this role and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
