Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking a dedicated professional to support fostering families. The role requires knowledge of child development, child protection, GIRFEC and The Promise, with strong written and verbal communication. Applicants should be prepared for multi-agency collaboration and home-based engagement.

The post holder will work to build relationships with children, families and carers, and contribute to quality reporting and service delivery within a fixed-term, full-time framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum professional qualifications listed (HNC/BA/Social Work or equivalent).
• Experience or ability to work with children and families in a multi-agency context.

Responsibilities

• Work with and support fostering families.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Child Development, Child Protection, GIRFEC and The Promise.
• Write concise reports and communicate effectively with partners.
