About the Role
The Fostering and Adoption Assessment Team has a vacancy for a permanent assessing social worker. We are open to recruiting two part-time workers. The assessment work includes undertaking mainstream fostering assessments, private fostering assessments, and non-agency adoption assessments. The successful applicant may also support capacity in the Kinship Assessment Team, undertaking kinship assessments as needed.
As a team, we are committed to achieving the best outcomes for Leicestershire children, ensuring they have safe, stable, and loving homes. We conduct comprehensive and analytical carer assessments, aiming to build relationships with families and support them through the process.
We seek social workers with at least 2 years of statutory social work experience, including safeguarding, direct work, and high-quality assessments. We support our staff with resources and collaboration, offering flexible working, professional development, and a supportive team environment.
A DBS enhanced check is required for this post.
