Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Step-Forward Foster Carer to welcome a child or siblings into your home, offering stability, guidance and the consistency they need during a pivotal time. You will work with social workers and therapists, delivering therapeutic, relationship-based care within a supportive team.

You will receive specialist training and supervision, with regional recruitment under Foster4 and a structured path to placement.

Qualifications

• 21+ eligibility to foster in the UK
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Able to provide full-time care for a child or children
• Spare bedroom(s) available for fostering
• Experience with complex needs or challenging behaviours preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or sibling group
• Offer stability, routine and reassurance in a nurturing home
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development of the child
• Collaborate with social workers, therapists and other professionals
• Maintain clear records and deliver relationship-based care
• Maintain family relationships through Family Time
