Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a platform engineering focus in London. You will own end-to-end delivery for cloud platform and infrastructure modernisations, translating business challenges into target-state cloud solutions, and leading design and deployment.

You’ll work across Azure, AWS and GCP, build Kubernetes platforms with GitOps (ArgoCD) and IaC (Terraform, Helm), ensure security and observability in production, and partner with AI engineers to integrate systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in solution and platform architecture delivering infra modernisations.
• Hands-on with Azure, GCP and/or AWS (landing zones, networking, IAM, cost controls).
• Production experience with Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD), and Infra as Code (Terraform, Helm).
• Hands-on experience implementing security end-to-end: CI/CD tooling, Kubernetes namespace segmentation and managed identities, and secure access in landing zones and hyperscaler.
• Observability tooling: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with generative AI platforms and MLOps practices for deploying AI in production.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into target-state cloud platforms across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
• Build enterprise Kubernetes platforms and GitOps-based delivery.
• Build self-service developer environments and secure landing zones.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and IaC implementations (Terraform, Helm).
• Guide legacy app modernisation, microservices migrations, and API integrations.
• Implement security end-to-end across the platform and in pipelines.
• Instrument platforms for observability and share best practices.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on integrating AI workloads.
