Kairos AI Talent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for our London hybrid setting. You will design and deploy production-grade LLM and agentic solutions directly with enterprise clients, integrating with existing architectures.

The role emphasizes deep client interaction and high-impact delivery. You will own full-stack delivery from architecture to production, mentor others, and shape technical strategy for scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Several years of commercial software engineering experience with AI/ML.
• Experience deploying production-grade LLM/agentic applications, not just demos.
• Strong backend, microservices, APIs, CI/CD and modern frontend engineering capability.
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise stakeholders and solving ambiguous technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Design production AI agents and LLM applications using LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, orchestration pipelines and modern web interfaces using Python, Node.js, Java and React/Next.js.
• Apply TDD, CI/CD, pair programming, continuous refactoring and mentor other engineers.
• Independently own full-stack project delivery from architecture through to production deployment.
• Drive technical strategy, define system architecture across scalability, reliability and observability.

Forward Deployed Engineer | AI Consultancy | London Hybrid | Up to £120,000 + Bonus

The Role

Join a fast-growing global AI consultancy helping enterprise clients take AI beyond prototypes into scalable production environments. You’ll work directly with clients to design, build and deploy production-grade LLM and agentic systems integrated with existing enterprise architecture.

Location: London (Hybrid: 2 days consultancy office, 2 days client site)

What You’ll Do

• Build & Deploy: Design production AI agents and LLM applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph and LangSmith.
• Full-Stack Delivery: Develop scalable backend services, APIs, orchestration pipelines and modern web interfaces using Python, Node.js, Java and React/Next.js.
• Engineering Standards: Apply TDD, CI/CD, pair programming, continuous refactoring and mentor other engineers.
• Senior Level: Independently own full-stack project delivery from architecture through to production deployment.
• Staff Level: Drive technical strategy, define system architecture across scalability, reliability and observability, lead delivery teams and advise enterprise stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• Pre-GenAI Foundations: Several years of commercial software engineering experience, plus genuine commercial AI/ML experience from before the current GenAI boom, such as NLP, classical ML, search, recommendation systems, optimisation or Computer Vision.
• Modern AI Production: Proven experience building and deploying production-grade LLM or agentic applications, not just wrappers, prompts, academic work or personal projects.
• Enterprise Full-Stack: Strong backend, microservices, API, CI/CD and modern frontend engineering capability.
• Client-Facing Skills: Comfortable working directly with enterprise stakeholders and solving ambiguous technical problems.

Not suitable for: Candidates whose commercial AI experience only began during the recent GenAI boom, software engineers without genuine production AI experience, or AI developers whose experience is primarily prototypes, demos, university work or personal projects.

Salary: Senior: Up to £97.5k | Staff: Up to £120k
