Jobbeschreibung

Forward Deployed Engineer - Hybrid - London - £100k-£130k- client travel required

I’m working with an exciting early-stage AI company that is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its growing engineering team.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys being both a strong hands-on engineer and close to the customer. You'll work directly with clients to understand complex problems, break down messy workflows, and build AI-powered solutions that make a real impact.

You’ll also be joining at an early stage, so there’s plenty of opportunity to influence the product, engineering culture, and how the team works with customers.

What they're looking for:

• Strong background in software engineering, particularly Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience building and shipping production-grade software
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths or a similar technical subject, ideally from a leading university
• Comfortable working directly with customers and understanding their problems before jumping into the solution
• Able to take an ambiguous problem and turn it into something structured and buildable
• Comfortable moving quickly, prototyping and iterating based on feedback
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with enterprise clients
• Excited by joining an early-stage company and helping shape the product and culture
• Happy to travel to client sites when required

This would suit someone who wants more ownership than a traditional software engineering role and enjoys the combination of building, problem-solving and working directly with customers.
