Job summary

trg. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer in London (Hybrid) to build the systems the commercial team uses, focusing on automation for sourcing, form enrichment, CRM hygiene, and reporting.

The role requires hands-on coding experience, 2–5 years in engineering or related fields, and a proven track record with LLM-driven workflows. You will work daily with Claude/Claude Code and connect tools via MCP and APIs, extending the approach to other business areas with high hour-loss.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in engineering, technical product, data, or personal projects.
• Real production coding experience with Python, TypeScript or similar; comfortable with APIs and databases.
• Evidence of using LLMs beyond prompts: agents, tool use, retrieval, evals, unattended workflows.
• Commercial instinct and ability to understand funnels and metrics.
• Experience with data quality work: enrichment, matching, deduplication.

Responsibilities

• Automate sourcing, enrichment, deduplication and scoring to prioritise leads for sales.
• Own inbound capture end-to-end: form enrichment, routing, and fast first response.
• Automate admin around selling and marketing: briefs, CRM hygiene, follow-ups, reporting.
• Build reporting trusted by leadership for channel and pipeline decisions.
• Work daily in Claude and Claude Code, wiring tools together via MCP and APIs.

Forward Deployed Engineer | AI / PropTech | London (Hybrid)

A live, revenue-generating AI company that already automates ~90% of front-desk work for UK letting and estate agencies is scaling fast and looking for a GTM Engineer to join as a build-first IC, reporting directly to the founders.

The Role

This is an engineering seat, not a pre-sales or integrations role. You'll build the systems the commercial team runs on, starting with sales and marketing, so revenue moves faster with less manual work behind it. Impact is measured in hours removed and pipeline moved, not tickets closed.

What You'll Do

• Automate sourcing, enrichment, deduplication and scoring so sales works a prioritised list, not a spreadsheet
• Own inbound capture end to end: form enrichment routing first response, in minutes not days
• Automate the admin around selling and marketing: briefs, CRM hygiene, follow-ups, reporting
• Build reporting leadership actually trusts to make channel and pipeline decisions
• Work daily in Claude and Claude Code, wiring tools together over MCP and APIs
• Extend the same approach into whichever part of the business is losing the most hours next

What They're Looking For

• Real production coding experience (Python, TypeScript or similar); comfortable with APIs and databases
• 2-5 years' experience, from engineering, technical product, data, or your own projects
• Evidence of using LLMs beyond a prompt: agents, tool use, retrieval, evals, unattended workflows
• Commercial instinct: you know a funnel, and can tell a metric moving from a metric mattering
• Comfortable with data quality work: enrichment, matching, deduplication

Nice to Have

• Background as a technical PM, forward-deployed/solutions engineer, growth engineer, RevOps, or technical founder
• Experience with modern GTM tooling (Clay, Apollo, CRM automation, orchestration), or building on the Claude API / MCP
