Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast-growing global team building an intelligent automation platform for enterprise finance operations (Contract-to-Cash). The role is remote (UK-based) on a 6-month initial contract, paying £60 per hour umbrella Inside IR35.

You will bridge engineering and live customer operations, delivering production software that interfaces with SAP, Teams/Outlook, and internal databases, while ensuring end-to-end

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software, solutions, or delivery experience.
• Proficient in Go.
• Experience with React/TypeScript and GCP.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Build practical features by hooking automated tasks into day-to-day finance operations.
• Add human oversight with simple approval steps and fallback flows.
• Write backend code in Go and maintain services, messaging tools, and DB routines.
• Update the user interface with React/TypeScript for new features.
• Connect our system to client software like SAP, Teams/Outlook, and internal databases.
• Fix end-to-end bugs across the system—from UI to data pipelines and logins.
• Keep code clean with automated tests and regular code reviews.

A well established firm is looking for a hands‑on Forward Deployed Engineer to join a fast‑growing global team developing an intelligent automation platform for enterprise finance operations (Contract-to-Cash).

This isn't an isolated product‑development role or a high‑level consultancy position. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of engineering and live customer operations. You will build, adapt, and refine production software directly where the platform interacts with real enterprise financial processes-handling everything from billing and trade booking to collections.

Your core responsibility is simple: ensuring the entire system works reliably end‑to‑end in live customer environments.

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day

• Build Practical Features: Write code that hooks smart automated tasks directly into day-to-day finance operations.

• Write Backend Code: Build and maintain backend services, messaging tools, and database routines in Go.
• Update the User Interface: Make targeted updates to screens and forms using React and TypeScript so clients can see and use new features.
• Connect Existing Software: Plug our system into standard client software (like SAP, Microsoft Teams/Outlook, and internal databases).
• Fix End-to-End Bugs: Track down issues across the whole system-from a button glitch on screen down through the background servers, data pipelines, and logins.
• Keep Code Clean: Write solid automated tests for your changes and participate in regular team code reviews.

Essential Skills

• Proven Engineering Experience (5+ years in software, solutions, or delivery)
• Proficient in programming language Go
• Solid experience with React / TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub)
• Hands on experience with Kafka / Messaging
• Prior working experience with PostgreSQL / SQL
