Job summary

La Fosse is seeking an AI Engineer/Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build and deploy AI solutions from scratch for portfolio companies. You will turn ambiguous business problems into working AI products, prototypes and production-grade software, working directly with senior executives and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in AI/engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on experience building production AI solutions
• Ability to work with senior executives and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Turn ambiguous business problems into AI products, prototypes and POCs
• Build with LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, tool use and modern AI frameworks
• Work with senior executives and technical teams to identify high-value AI opportunities
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure performance and impact
• Take successful solutions through productionisation and scale
• Work with portfolio businesses on engagements lasting 6–12 months
