This is a temporary 5-year post for a dedicated project officer to implement and administer the Forres Conservation & Heritage Scheme on behalf of Moray Council & the FCHS Partnership Management Group
To deliver the core project activities and to develop further activities as appropriate, based on decisions of the PMG. To take on further responsibilities as the project develops.
The post is funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland Heritage & Place Programme, UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Scottish Government. The post holder will be responsible to the Economic Growth & Regeneration Manager and will support delivery of the project as outlined in the funding applications and supporting documents.
Requirements
To establish core activities of the project and associated procedures.
To provide admin and support to the Project Management Group and Moray Council.
To provide networking/informing/representation of project for all relevant stakeholders including the funders, partners, community, businesses and consultants in various meetings.
To maintain financial and other project information records.
To plan/design future activities.
The Individual
Experience of working with and providing services for public, community and businesses.
Knowledge and understanding of grant-funded projects.
Financial management and project development skills.
Competent knowledge of Microsoft packages Word and Excel.
Educated to Degree level or have relevant work experience.
Good communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
Confidence and ability to work with a minimum of supervision and act on own initiative.
Effective time management skills.
Team worker.
Good problem solving and forward planning.
Financial/budget monitoring and management skills.
Ability to compile and keep accurate project information for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Promotion and marketing including digital.
Be able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
Where appropriate be able to respect confidentiality of information entrusted.
Mobile working with regular travel to Forres and occasional evening / weekend work.
Temporary for 5 Years
Closing Date: 9 May 2025 (extended from 2 May 2025)
Starting Salary: £37,209.90
£19.74 per hour.
36.25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Fixed Term Contract - 5 years after appointment.
