Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in the United Kingdom is seeking a Formulation Scientist within our Oral Product Development group to translate promising small molecule drug candidates into manufacturable medicines, from first‑in‑human through commercial readiness.

You will design and develop oral formulations, tackle bioavailability and stability challenges, and work closely with Drug Product, Analytical, API, Quality and Regulatory teams, as well as external CMOs to enable tech transfer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven ability to design experiments and troubleshoot when experiments don’t go to plan.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead workgroups and guide junior colleagues.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing oral formulations for clinical and commercial use.
• Evaluating bioavailability, stability, and processability solutions.
• Collaborating across Drug Product, Analytical, API, Quality, and Regulatory functions.
• Contributing to drug development processes and regulatory strategy.
• Supporting technology transfer to CMOs and manufacturing sites.
