Job summary

Alpro is seeking a Formulation Operator for a 12 months fixed-term contract at our Kettering site. You will oversee blending and ensure safe, productive operation, with responsibilities including start-up/shutdown, inbound/outbound transport follow-up, and recording daily production statistics.

The role requires willingness to work nights and weekends, in a Food manufacturing environment with emphasis on food safety and allergen awareness; GCSE or equivalent, and English communication skills are

Qualifications

• GCSE standard or equivalent.
• Be able to communicate in written and verbal English.
• Experience in working in food manufacturing environment.
• Awareness of food allergen and basic food hygiene.
• Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee blending (formulation) process for semi-finished products to ensure safe, productive operations.
• Follow up on inbound/outbound transport of products.

Job Title: Formulation Operator 12 months FTC (Factory 2)

Location: Kettering

We currently have an opportunity for a Formulation Operator.

The function of a Formulation Operator is to oversee the blending (formulation) process of the semi-finished product so planned work continues in a safe and productive manner. You will be required to follow-up on transport on inbound/outbound delivery of products. Maintain food safety and process quality and yield standards. Start-up and shutdown the manufacturing plant. Able to read and understand P&IDs and trace process lines. Conduct regular stock takes. You will be required to record production statistics, monitor equipment operation and record accurate information on a daily basis.

About You

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, have strong communication skills, be able to prioritise, solve technical and complex problems and be able to work nights and weekends.

The following qualifications/skills are required:

• GCSE standard or equivalent
• Be able to communicate in written and verbal English
• Experience in working in food manufacturing environment
• Have an awareness of food allergen and basic food hygiene
• Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office

Desirable

• FLT licence
• HACCP trained
• COSHH trained

Conversant with CIP (Clean In Place) processes
